Ram Truck Reveals Long-Hauler Concept

Ram Truck recently released its new dream hauler which is surprisingly big. It is named as Ram Long Hauler Concept Truck. At present it is nothing more than a show car.

The idea of Ram Long-Hauler Concept is established up a Class 5 Ram 5500 Chassis Cab and is particularly designed to carry out heavy duty jobs, e.g. towing heavy trailers or moving big stuff around while on on-site jobs. If we compare it with 550, this Long-Hauler features 8-foot box, a mid-ship fuel tank mated to a second frame-mounted tank and also a third optional bed-mounted auxiliary tank giving it to store up to 170 gallons of fuel.

If we throw light on the specs of Long-Hauler, we will come to know that it is 24 feet in length, 79.1 inch high and have a wheelbase of 197.4-inch. The estimated weight of this Long-Hauler is measured as 9,300 lbs. The Ram Long-Hauler Concept Truck will get an inclined six-cylinder 6.7-L High Output Cummins Turbo Charged Diesel engine. Certainly, there is no question about horsepower, the thing matter is torque and the Long-Hauler has plenty of it, to say 800 lb-ft. On front and rear, it has Kelderman Air Suspension and supported on 19.5-inch Alcoa aluminum wheels.

If we talk about the exterior, it has an elegant black paint finish emphasized by white gold metallic, a bull bar at front, wide wheelarches and custom hitch-access tailgate. In the interior, NVH package is introduced that offers a quiet, comfy cabin. Other features include 2 + 2 leather seating particularly with a high comfort driver seat, power-adjusted rear footrests, a rear center console comprises of a refrigerator, cup holders and tray tables.

Other services include 115V and 12V outlets on front and rear, inductive charger, DVD player along with overhead screen for rear passengers and Wi-Fi. There is a laptop storage area as well and also a safe for valuables.

We are still not sure whether Dodge will make this or not.
